Mahindra attains its highest ever domestic sales in India
The tractor-maker Mahindra & Mahindra has recently added a new milestone to its portfolio by selling a mind-boggling 31698 units, at a growth of 20.3%, its highest ever in the domestic market in a month's time. Notably, the company sold 26,360 units for the same period last year.
The automotive arm of the $6.3 billion M&M Group has been able to close the financial year with sales of 298280 units, as against 230326 units for the same period last year, a growth of 30%. In fact, the exports skyrocketed by a whopping 280.5% standing at 1,754 units, the highest ever in a month in the history of M&M.
However, the company exported 461 units in the same period last year. Market-leader in the UV segment, the company sold 20914 units, as against sales of 19973 units in March 2009 with products like Scorpio, the XYLO, the Bolero and Pick-Ups in the portfolio.
The trembled Logan continues its decline as the product sold only 351 units as against 962 units in the same period last year. The company sold 5332 units of Logan in the FY 2009-10 as compared to 13423 units in the last fiscal.
