Lupin announces disappointing Q2 results
Lupin, one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in India, has posted disappointing results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2009.
The company posted a net profit of Rs 98.37 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2009 as against Rs 131.94 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2008.
However, the company remained successful to register a surge in its total income, which grew from Rs 772.44 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2008 to Rs 846.09 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2009.
On a consolidated basis, the company has posted a net profit of Rs 160.3 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2009, against Rs 115.62 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2008.
Total income has increased from Rs 935.65 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2008 to Rs 1168.74 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2009.
