Long Term Buy Call For Vijaya Bank Stock market analyst Gaurang Shah of Geojit BNP Paribas has maintained 'hold' rating on Vijaya Bank stock.

According to analyst, the interested investors can buy the stock with targets of Rs 96 and 110.

The analyst said that the investors can achieve the target in the period of 12 months.

Today, the stock of the bank opened at Rs 76.50 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The share price has seen a 52-week high of Rs 76.40 a low of Rs 41 on BSE.

Current EPS & P/E ratio stood at 12.40 and 6.25 respectively.

Vijaya Bank has recorded a 21% increase in net profit, which stood at Rs 173 crore for the three month period ended June 2009 due to declining depository cost and elevated core earnings.

Total income increased by 3.8% to Rs 1,520.20 crore as against Rs 1,463.42 crore during the corresponding period of 2009.

Chairman and Managing Director Albert Tauro said, "Our core earnings continue to show improvement, notwithstanding a somewhat slackened pace of business in the first quarter."

Operating profit grew by 49.8% to Rs 314.26 crore as compared to Rs 209.77 crore in 2009.
