Logan sales on a high!

Logan sales on a high!Since the point of time M&M has purchased Renault's share in the M&M-Renault JV, the company has done everything possible in order to ensure that the sales numbers achieve the desired growth in the Indian market.

It may easily be recalled that when the three-year-old joint venture between Indian auto major Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M ) and French carmaker Renault came to a dead-end, the future for the Logan was surely uncertain. However, with its aggressive sales push, M&M has been able to keep the product afloat in the domestic circuit.

It may be noted here that as compared to 303 units that the JV sold in April last year, Logan sales have more than doubled to 752 units in July this year. Arun Malhotra, senior VP, sales & customer care said that within a span of few days since M&M purchased Renault's stake, a lot of activities were already in place.

Notably, the company has launched a new campaign in the Indian market and has also repositioned the product into the C segment.

More importantly, analysts believe that the price cut that was announced by the company a few months back has provided the much-desired boost to the unit sales of the Logan.
