Berlin - VfB Stuttgart players Cacau and Christian Traesch are candidates to fill the ranks of a depleted Germany team for an upcoming trip to Asia, coach Joachim Loew told the Bild daily.

Loew said that the uncapped players Cacau, a Brazilian striker who now has German citizenship, and Traesch, a defender, are part of an extended roster.

He said the squad for the games in China on May 29 and the United Arab Emirates on June 2 will be announced on May 19.

Loew misses a dozen players led by captain Michael Ballack due to club commitments. (dpa)
