Canadian actress Lisa Ray is the living embodiment of strong will and positive attitude that can fight anything. The actress has cancer but she is determined to live life to the fullest and she is optimistic that her cancer will be cured.

Lisa suffers from Multiple Myeloma. The cancer was diagnosed at early stage hence there is hope that it will be cured. She has already completed first round of treatment. Her first cycle of treatment began on July 2nd.

Multiple Myeloma is rare cancer of the bone marrow that affects about 6000 Canadians. Presently her treatment includes chemotherapy and steroids. She is responding well to the treatment it is hoped that her cancer can be cured completely.

Model cum actress Lisa has done number of Bollywood films. She gave remarkable performance in Deepa Mehta's Water. She debuted in Vikram Bhatt’s ‘Kasoor’. She will be soon seen in Shamim Sarif‘s ‘I Can’t Think Straight’.

She said: "So I'm going to do everything I can to wrench the spotlight onto Myeloma and Cancer Awareness. I believe it can be cured."
