Liberty Shoes To Strengthen Its Base In South IndiaLiberty Shoes Ltd has sketched out plans to strengthen its biz in the south Indian market.

The major footwear brand in India has doubled its turnover to around Rs 70 crore.

In a press release, Anupam Bansal, Company's Managing Director stated that the company would be amplifying its attendance in the south Indian market by adding up 25 novel stores.

Presently, the company has 58 stores in seven cities.

Moreover, it planned to open up 25 more stores in 14 more cities that comprise Madurai, Coimbatore and Chennai in Tamil Nadu during the initial stage.

The outlets ranging from mid-size to larger-size will spread over 1000 to 3000 sq ft areas.

The novel Liberty stores would showcase a total variety of footwear and accessories for males, females as well as kids.

Mr. Bansal also said that considering the climatic conditions in the south India, the range would comprise slip ons, lightweight leather uppers, cushioned soles, open backs and toe rings.

The company, which made around Rs 35 crore from the South Indian market, is eyeing double growth after the addition of novel stores.

Mr. Bansal stated that the company's exports contributed 25% of the Liberty's income.

The company makes 60,000 pairs of footwear on a daily basis.
