Let Chief Denies any Role in Mumbai Attacks
Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafeez Saeed has outright denied any role in the Mumbai terror attacks.
"We didn't do it," he said categorically.
Saeed went on to say that the demand for his extradition by India is a crude attempt by the Indian establishment to divert people's attention from the failure of security and intelligence forces of India.
"Technically speaking, I'm not authorised to speak for the LeT. I am the Jamaatul Daawa's ameer and have nothing to do with the LeT," said Saeed on Mumbai attacks. Further he speculated that now Indian Air Force might attack Muridke, which according to him would be "very unfortunate, because Muridke houses educational establishments and not terrorist training camps as the India is alleging."
"India is using Pakistan as a punching bag. It's not the first time that India is doing this. As a patriotic Pakistani, I refute the allegations made by the Indian government," he said.
Further, a LeT spokesman in Srinagar also denied the allegations that it was involved in the Mumbai attacks. According to him, these allegations were actually to malign the group and hinder the ongoing freedom struggle in the Kashmir Valley.
