Laser Soft, a Polaris Group company, has got itself a project with Andhra Pradesh State Co-operative Bank Limited (APCOB) which involves imposing main banking solutions in the district central co-operative banks in the State.

This imposition will be carried out through a special multi-entity CBS, which has a centralized deployment at Hyderabad. This model is not only cost-effective but will also facilitate easier transactions between customers of the banks.

Using the multi-entity concept, APCOB can centralize its core banking systems and at simultaneously let all DCCBs work independently. Not only does it enable each DCCB to produce individual reports, but it also gives APCOB the scope to produce a consolidated report simultaneously, if required. This facility will be the first of its kind in India.

This multi-entity core banking solution is targeted to cover the entirety of the 22 district central cooperative institutions, and is expected to take the banking experience up to the next level. This model, by the APCOB, is being minutely looked into by the other states in the country as well, and the project is already being extended to likely potential states.
