Kiss scotch retirement rumours, confirm new album

Kiss scotch retirement rumours, confirm new albumWashington, December 15 : Rock band `Kiss' have slammed rumours that they were heading towards retirement, insisting that they would soon release a new album.

The American head bangers, known for their trademark face paint and stage outfits, had been speculated to be turning towards TV auditions inviting replacements for founders Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons.

However, vocalist Stanley confirmed that they were instead working on new material for the album, adding that the tunes would take fans back to the original 1970s sound.

"It''s going to be very much a vintage, classic, 70s Kiss album without much regard to what''s happened since then; it''s back to the roots," Contactmusic quoted the group's rhythm guitarist as telling Askmen. com.

The rock band shot to prominence in the mid and late-1970s on the basis of their elaborate live performances, which featured fire breathing, blood spitting, smoking guitars, and pyrotechnics. (ANI)
