Kik team launches ‘Clik’ app
The team that developed Kik messenger app has announced the launched of a new app called, Clik that allows users to easily use their smart phones as a remote control to run Youtube videos on a computer and other features.
Compatibility with YouTube is the first step for the app and the company is aiming to closely integrate smartphone and other devices. A user has to simply point the smartphone towards a browser that is based on a QR code and can easily take control of the site.
The app also allows others to to get access to the screen. A user can play games, play videos, play music, and show pictures, etc to friends through the app. QR codes is still in its infancy and might even be replaced by a newer technology before it becomes main stream. However, Clik offers an exciting way to use computers and could allow developers to create new multiplayer games.
The app s significant because it points out to the fact that no additional device is require in integration between smartphones and computers. Clik is now available for iPhone and Android and will only be for YouTube initially.
