Seoul, South Korea-headquartered Kia Motors Corporation recently took wraps off the extensive list of features of the EV9 all-electric mid-size crossover SUV that is heading to US dealerships later this year. The eagerly awaited Kia EV9 electric SUV, which is slated to hit US dealerships before the end of 2023, is set to make a statement with its generous size and features. Measuring almost 197 inches in length, the EV9 falls into the same size-category as its ICE counterpart, called the Telluride.

The list of features released by the company covers both standard offerings as well as available options across the lineup. The Kia EV9 e-SUV will be available in a total of five distinct trims: Light Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD), Light Long Range RWD, Wind AWD (All-Wheel Drive), Land AWD, and GT-Line AWD. Each of these options will be catering to seating capacities ranging from six to seven.

The Kia EV9 Light RWD, offering a spacious seven-seat configuration, will come equipped with a 76.1-kWh battery pack. This e-SUV delivers an impressive range of 223 miles on a full charge and boasts a power output of 215 hp. While specific acceleration figures are not currently available, it will boast a towing capacity of 2,000 pounds.

In its standard configuration, the EV9 Light Long Range RWD model maintains the same set of standard features that we found in the base Light variant. However, it incorporates second-row captain's chairs for added comfort and a front-row sunroof, which will surely enhance the sense of spaciousness & openness.

The Kia EV9 Wind AWD, which also features a seven-seat layout, boasts a 99.8-kWh battery pack, offering an impressive range of 270 miles on a full charge. With a powerful 379 hp, it accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.4 seconds.

Featuring six seats, the Kia EV9 Land AWD comes equipped with a 99.8-kWh battery, offering a 250-mile range. It delivers 379 hp, enough for accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds.

The Kia EV9 GT-Line AWD features six seats, and has a 99.8-kWh battery pack, which is enough for a 250-mile range. With 379 hp, it accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in merely 4.5 seconds. It also offers an imposing towing capacity of 5,000 pounds.

While the South Korean brand has divulged an extensive list of features of the Kia EV9, pricing details are yet to be shared. The brand appears to be mulling the possibility of unveiling pricing details ahead of the EV’s official release later this year.
