London, November 10 : Ex ‘Atomic Kitten’ singer Kerry Katona has confessed for the first time that she is an ‘alcoholic’, and that she was constantly battling her booze addiction.

The pop artist, who won ITV1''s “I''m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!” in 2004, admitted that she had been struggling with her condition for some time.

“Four years ago I was diagnosed as an alcoholic after a stay in The Priory clinic. This is not common knowledge as I''ve never admitted it before, " the BBC quoted her as telling People magazine.

MTV’s ‘Crazy In Love’ star further revealed that she found it difficult to stay away from the bottle, but was ready to give all in her power to save herself from it.

She said: "During my worst drinking bouts I''d easily knock back 10 to 15 shots of vodka or peach schnapps.

"I can get through days without having a drink but it''s hard. I can never promise myself or my family that I can beat this addiction but I''ll try bloody hard." (ANI)
