Vadodara-headquartered Jyoti Limited has secured an order worth Rs 541 crore from Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited (KNNL) to supply 28 high-end metallic volute water pumps.

The company claims that the latest deal is one of the single largest electromechanical orders ever bagged by an Indian company. 

According to sources, the pumping stations will cater to farmers in northern and eastern Karnataka with a catchment area of about 1,07,000 hectares.

Jyoti will undertake the first phase of the project with Hyderabad-based SEW Constructions, while the next phase will be carried out along with Bangalore-based RN Shetty Infrastructure for civil works. 

Jyoti, Ltd. engages in manufacturing and marketing electrical and hydraulic engineering equipment in India and internationally. The company expects to earn Rs 117 crore and Rs 424 crore respectively for phase-I and phase-II works.
