Jordan's King Abdullah to travel to Egypt for talks Tuesday
Amman - King Abdullah II of Jordan is to travel to Cairo on Tuesday for talks with Egyptian President Hosny Mubarak on the latest developments in the Middle East, officials said Monday.
High on the agenda will be the political situation in Israel in the wake of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's resignation and the stalled peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians, the officials said.
On Sunday, Abdullah exchanged views on the telephone with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, who is due to travel Monday to the United States for talks with US President George W Bush on the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. (dpa)
