Jharkhand Launches New Scheme For Farmers
The Jharkhand government has announced the introduction of a new agriculture scheme that would facilitate farmers grow more than one crop.
According to sources, the decision to offer farmers with necessary resources to produce dual crop was taken at the cabinet meeting last evening on Saturday.
The sources further revealed that the scheme, “Kisan Kushali Yojana” (scheme for farmers' wellbeing) would also facilitate the farmers in rearing of livestock.
The cabinet also decided not to take tax from marginal vegetable vendors marketing their produce in markets.
In another decision to build a marketing complex in the state capital the cabinet approved transfer of one acre and 19 decimal to Krishi Bazaar Samiti (agriculture market committee).
The government has also approved seven posts for strict enforcement of labour laws.
