‘Jab We Met’ in Tamil
The Shahid-Kareena starrer 'Jab We Met' is all set to get a Tamil remake.
The 2007 hit is going to be directed by Kannan, and has been named as 'Kanden Kadhalai'.
Bollywood filmmaker and 'Jab We Met', writer and director, Imtiaz Ali feels that Kannan has carefully avoided the mistakes he made in the original version.
Speaking at the audio launch of 'Kanden Kadhalai' in Chennai, Imtiaz said: "I am confident that the remake too would be successful."
'Kandein Kadhalai' stars Bharath, Tamannah and Munna in the lead roles.
The music for the film has been composed by Vidyasagar.
While 'Jab We Met' went on to become a massive hit, it would be interesting how 'Kanden Kadhalai' fairs at the box-office. The film will hit the theaters in September this year.
It may be recalled here that owing to its success in Hindi, the distributors of the film, Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision Ltd, announced that 'Jab We Met' would be remade by corporate entity Moser Baer in four South Indian languages -- Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
