Irish Actress Saoirse Ronan Enters 'The Hobbit' CastThe much talked upcoming movie The Hobbit by director Peter Jackson has got a new entry in its cast in the form of Irish actress Saoirse Ronan. She has earlier worked with the director in his 2009 movie The Lovely Bones.

However, Ronan's character name has not been announced yet. In an interview, the casting director Ros Hubbard stated that working with Jackson is like being with family, so Saoirse's family will also go with her. Ros added that everyone is very close and loving and it's not like any typical studio.

The Oscar nominated 16-year old actress can justify any role given to her. Ronan is the 11th youngest actress to an Academy Award nomination and 7th youngest getting nomination for `Best Supporting Actress'. She made her acting debut with the Irish medical drama The Clinic in 2003.

Ronan's first film debut was with British movie The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey in 2007. In the same year, she appeared in another film titled Atonement, which earned her several prestigious award nominations. Her role in Jackson's The Lovely Bones also brought her multiple award nominations.

So, we can look forward to another powerful performance from the actress in The Hobbit, which will be released in two parts in 2012 and 2013.
