Iran's former President arrives in Baghdad for talks
Baghdad - Iran's former President, Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani arrived in Baghdad on Monday for talks with Iraqi President Jalal Talabani.
Rafsanjani is currently the Chairman of the Assembly of Experts, an authority in charge of electing the Supreme Leader of Iran. Rafsanjani is scheduled to meet Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki during his visit.
Relations between Iran and Iraq have improved after the US forces ousted former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein in 2003. (Dpa)
