The new computer chip made by Intel Corp will be called Core i7. It is expected to hit market after the end of this year. This chip will be more energy efficient and high performing.

The company has developed it under the code name of ‘Nehalem’.

Intel is a Santa Clara based company, which has, earlier developed a number of computer micro processors and chips.

The General Manager of sales and marketing group of Intel said that the new product will make its name in the world market based on its performance and capabilities.

The Core i7 will have integrated memory controller hub and multiple processor core. It is manufactured using Intel's 45-nanometer manufacturing process.

The company is also announcing new quad-core mobile processor. It will be used in entertainment devices. The company is still working on this processor and it will not be released during Developer Forum conference (DFC) in San Francisco.
