Infosys will get new chief before my retirement-Says MurthyChief mentor and Chairman of Infosys, Mr. Narayana Murthy has said that the company will get a new chief well before his retirement. Infosys was co-founded by Mr. Narayana Murthy in the year 1981 and now it is one of the leading IT companies in India.

Mr. Narayana Murthy is retiring in the month of August in the coming year. Murthy will turn 65 on 20th of August 2011 and the search for his replacement has already been started.

While he was asked about the succession plan, Mr. Murthy has said that there is nominations committee which will find out an appropriate replacement for him. Jeffrey Lehman is the Chairman of committee and ICICI Bank non-executive chairman K V Kamath and CEO of HDFC Standard Life Insurance Deepak M Satwalekar were the other members of the committee.

Murthy is anticipating that, Lehman and his team will be able to find a suitable person for Infosys well before the time of his retirement. The members have already started the discussion over the nomination and other procedures.
