Indian Prime Minister Singh, Obama to meet in November
Washington - US President Barack Obama will host Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for an official state visit on November 24, the White House announced late Friday.
It will be the first state visit hosted by Obama since he took office in January.
A White House statement said the planned visit would "highlight the strong and growing strategic partnership between the United States and India."
The leaders are expected to hold wide-ranging talks including the US-Indian strategic dialogue that was launched in July.
The day will conclude with a state dinner. (dpa)
