Imran Khan feels outcome of his petition will be adverse to Pervez Musharraf

Imran Khan
Islamabad, Oct 12 : Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief and former cricketer Imran Khan has filed a review petition in the Supreme Court under Article 188 of the Constitution seeking a review of the September 28 ruling by a nine-member bench in the dual offices case.

Khan said that his petition, which was among five other petitions, was heard at length from September 17 to 28 and the bench headed by Justice Rana Bhagwandas, discussed all questions of law, including the ones on maintainability and merits of the case.

However, in its September 28 order, the bench decreed by six votes to three that the petitions were not maintainable, the Daily Times reported.

Khan said that the detailed reasons had not yet been given by eight out of nine judges and only one judge, Justice Falak Sher had given detailed reasons in his judgement.

Khan said it was obvious that four out of nine judges had laid down that Musharraf was not qualified to contest the presidential election, while the opinions of the remaining five judges was still awaited. (ANI)
