Huawei’s Consumer Mobile and Tablet Products Soon to Hit UKThe Chinese telecom company, Huawei, is reported to hit UK, as it prepares to market its consumer mobile and tablet products within the next 6 to 9 months, as well as get establish in the international Smartphone arena.

The telecoms company, which announced profits of $3.64billion last year and claims to be leading telecoms equipment provider in China, is said to be discussing with agencies in the UK, regarding its mission to build its brand in Europe.

Also, the debut of the brand in the UK is said to “pitch Huawei against Taiwanese mobile device manufacturer HTC, which has been stepping up its marketing activity over the past two years”.

Though Huawei does not have a strong brand-awareness in the UK, It plans to launch a series of Smartphone and tablet devices in the UK this year under its brand, as the company has a contract with 20:20 Mobile, a mobile handset and accessories distributor, for listings in retailers.

However, this year Huawei has appointed Mark Mitchinson, the former Head of Samsung Electronics in the UK and Ireland, as its UK Executive Vice President, as he will now be in charge of all sales and marketing for handsets, tablets and mobile broadband devices.

Moreover, the company currently announced that it plans to double its work force in the UK, by employing 500 employees over the next three years, most especially for roles within sales and marketing.
