HSCI witness a fall in Sales
While almost every automaker in India is on a roll as far as the growth in the month of April 2010 is concerned, Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) hasn't really been able to ride on the growth in the Indian automotive industry. The company has witnessed a fall in unit sales as compared to the last fiscal.
In fact, the company that is believed to be one of the leading manufacturers of premium cars in the Indian market has sold 3578 units during the month of April'10 as against 3656 units sold during the corresponding month last year.
However, when one analyse it model-wise, it will be shown that Jazz sold 338 units in the Indian market; City stood at 2,787 units; Civic sold 188 units while luxury offerings Accord and CR-V sold 194 and 71 units respectively.
It is believed that while Honda City has been able to stand on the volumes more or less, but it is the fall in units of Civic that has given a setback to the company. However, it is believed that it was just a short blip before the company continues its growth path once again in the domestic market.
