Hewlett-Packard (HP) has made announcement about the launching of its new smallest and most compact laser printers, named HP LaserJet 1007 and 1008 in the Indian market.

The printers have been specifically designed to offer greater flexibility and productivity to the users, with its consumer relevant features and affordable pricing.

The HP LaserJet P1007/P1008 printer series with the new ’monochrome toner’ offers features including crisp text, bold and sharper images, new patented ’Spherical Toner’ offers fast print speeds of up to 15ppm and 17ppm and power save mode with no-wait instant-on technology for printing the first page in less than 8.5 seconds.

Ajay Rawal, Country Category Manager, Commercial Volume LaserJets, Imaging and Printing Group, Hewlett-Packard India, stated, “As the market leader in the laser printer category (74% according to IDC Q4, 2007), we believe that we must constantly innovate to meet and surpass customer expectations.”

Along with some other goodies, these new printers would be the most compact and the smallest of its kind in the market, which makes them versatile for offices as well as homes with limited space.

The HP LaserJet P1007 is priced at Rs. 6,699, whereas P1008 is available at a price of Rs. 8,299.
