Google’s buying spree leads to fourth purchase
The recent procurement of DocVerse led Google Inc. to complete its fourth take of the month. This acquisition gives support to Google Docs and aids in syncing with one and all who are working online on Microsoft Word document.
Google has paid $25million to acquire the three year old online company. It permits editing on web based apps such as PowerPoint, word docs and simultaneously comments on it. A wall street journal interview with Jonathan Rochelle, group product manager for Google Apps states that Google is trying to edge over Microsoft in online based apps like word-processing and spreadsheet software, as it has already begun the transitioning from desktop based app to online.
According to the technology analysts, such steps could spur a tug war between the technology giants. However, the owners of DocVerse say Google is unbeatable in web-based apps when compared to software biggie Microsoft. Well, the effectiveness is something which will determine the champion out of the league.
