Google relies on SMEs for growth, unveils tailor-made productsGoogle made it clear how important Indian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are for the internet search engine giant as it unveiled its new products customized for SMEs.

The company offered to take up the SMEs on an individual basis to demonstrate them how to advertise cost-effectively with Google. It also extended its free ad coupons offer across the country.

Talking about SMEs in India, reports by IDC and AMI Partners show that nearly 33 per cent of the world's total SMEs are concentrated in the Asia-Pacific region. India alone is the base for 7.6 million SMEs, which annually spend about Rs. 15,000 crore on information technology.

The new service from Google India titled JumpStart would extend free expert support to SMEs in building customized online ad campaigns suitable for the SMEs needs. The experts would directly work with the SMEs to help them out.

As per Google, 80 per cent of the enterprises get stuck due to the high cost of online advertising. But considering the tremendous potential they possess for it's growth, the new scheme from Google would allow them to start advertising online for as little as Rs. 200 per day, the company said.
