Google Q3 profit jumps 27 pct to $1.64 billion; company eyes acquisitions
Internet search engine giant Google has posted a decent growth of 27% in net income for the third quarter on the back of higher advertising revenues. During the reporting quarter, company’s net income stood at USD 1.64 billion.
In July-September last fiscal, company’s net income figure stood at USD 1.29 billion.
Google functionaries stated in a communiqué that the company has clocked revenues of USD 5.94 billion in the said quarter, up 7% over third quarter of previous year.
In a separate release, Google has informed that the company has witnessed 7% year-over-year revenue growth despite the worst economic conditions.
As per reports in media, the sites controlled by Google have contributed 67% to the total revenues, generating USD 3.96 billion in the third three month period against USD 3.67 billion in the similar period last year.
