German radio station seeks worst clubhouse kitchen
Karlsruhe, Germany - Clubhouses often have rundown kitchens. Now a radio station in the German town of Karlsruhe is staging a contest together with a furniture store to find the worst kitchen of all.
Hopefuls can send pictures of their kitchens to a website until December 12. The worst kitchen will be awarded a prize of 2,500 euros (3,235 dollars) for an overhaul.
"Clubs usually have no money," said programming head Jens Zielinski, justifying the contest.
The first entry already has good prospects of winning the prize. The football club FC Busenbach entered a picture of broken cupboards, according to the broadcaster. The club had hoped to store donated dishes in the cupboards, but found that they were too heavy for the shelves. (dpa)
