England team may return for next round of ODIsThe England cricket team is likely to return to India on December 3 for the next rounds of Test series against India. Earlier, the UK team returned, following security threats in the wake of the terror attack in Mumbai. The team was playing fifth ODI in Cuttack on Wednesday when Mumbai came under terror attack, leading to the suspension of the forthcoming matches.

The security issue has become very important for the next matches in Indian fields. England captain Kevin Pietersen hoped that security adviser Reg Dickason would allow them to play ODI matches.

Champions League may postponeThe forthcoming Champions League is expected to be rescheduled following the security threats in the wake on Mumbai terror attack. The matches are likely to take place in January next year as per reports. The chief executive of the Champions League is under pressure to revise the match schedule on security grounds and availability of players. However, the decision in this regard is not yet taken.

Hugh Morris, the ECB's managing directorECB expressed hope to the beginning of the Test tour, following a security report in the next 48 hours. Hugh Morris, the ECB's managing director disclosed this in a press conference on Saturday.

Morris told, "The only reason why we decided to suspend the tour and return home was to assess the safety situation in India in a comfortable environment." He further added, "The ECB was waiting for a security report of the situation in India within the next 24 to 48 hours and a decision would be taken on Monday."

Speaking with the media persons, Akram said, “Cricket is not on anyone's mind at the moment, but after three to four days both the countries must take a positive step. I suggest Pakistan and India play a Test in Mumbai so to give a clear message that we will not give in.”

The team was scheduled to leave for Pakistan on January 6 to play three Tests, five ODIs and one Twenty20 match.

This would be the third international cricketing engagement that has been cancelled in the recent past. First, the Aussies cancelled its tour in March-April and subsequently a Championship Trophy tournament was cancelled.

International cricket teams, including Australia, England and South Africa had refused to play in Pakistan citing security reasons.
