Daniel Craig says he would love to film a 007 movie in Australia

Melbourne, November 16 : Daniel Craig, who greeted the cheers of excited fans as he stepped out on the red carpet at the Sydney premiere of his latest Bond flick ‘Quantum of Solace’, said that he would be more than happy to do a 007 film Down Under.

The James Bond star, who made his Bond debut with ‘Casino Royale’ in 2006, said the best part to being the secret agent was having the privilege to film at exotic locations.

"Doing these movies, they are incredible. It''s very rare air to make movies of this size and the locations we go to,” News. com. au quoted him as saying.

The Brit was accompanied by the latest Bond girl Olga Kurylenko at the premiere.

Danielle Lloyd becomes victim of love rat...again

London, Nov 16 : English fashion and glamour model Danielle Lloyd has once again ended up as the victim of a two timing love rat -and this time it is DJ Ironik.

Lloyd had been two-timed by footballer Jermain Defoe and another man who already had a partner and son at home.

Lloyd had begun dating DJ Ironik in July and there had even been hints of an engagement, but unknown to the model he was also making indecent proposals to wannabe model Lacey Taylor.

Taylor, 19, revealed her three months relationship with Ironik, whose real name is Michael Laurence, and the sex sessions she had with him behind Lloyd''s back, after she dumped him.

"Danielle''s welcome to him," News of the World quoted her as saying.

How protein forces ovarian cancer cells to kill themselves

Washington, Nov 16 : Researchers at the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center have found that a protein, known to inhibit the growth of ovarian cancer, works in part by forcing cancer cells to eat themselves until they die.

Senior author Naoto T. Ueno, M. D., Ph. D. associate professor of breast medical oncology, said that the researchers also found that expression of the protein, known as PEA-15, is an independent indicator of a woman''s prospects for surviving ovarian cancer. 

An analysis of ovarian cancer tumours from 395 women showed those with high expression of the PEA-15 had a median survival time of 50.2 months compared with 33.5 months for women with low levels of the protein in their tumours.

“India to release 60 Pak prisoners on Wednesday”

Lahore, Nov 16 : A leading human rights activist in Pakistan has claimed that India will release another batch of more than 60 Pakistani prisoners, including women and children, on Wednesday. They will be handed over to the Pakistani border authorities, he said further while quoting official sources.

After the release of 28 Pakistanis from Indian jails, the Indian government had agreed to release more than 60 such prisoners in the 2nd phase in the coming week, The News quoted Ansar Burney as saying.

New nanofibers may lead to scar-free healing

Washington, Nov 16 : Scientists at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology have developed new nanofibers that could one day be used to heal wounds with minimal scarring and rejection by the immune system.

The strong, flexible, bio-material, is made from a common blood protein, and could be used to make the thin threads needed for wound sutures, larger dressings for wounds, and other anti-adhesion membranes used in abdominal surgery

Even in tough economic times, Aussies can’t get enough of beer!

Melbourne, November 16 : Pint-loving Aussies spend 7.9 billion dollars on beer every year, which is nearly half of their overall alcohol expenditure, reveals a new survey.

As per the market research figures by Ibis World, beer continues to dominate the market contributing its nearly 50 percent share to the overall 16.3 billion dollar expenditure – despite the global economic crisis.

The survey found that the biggest beer drinkers were between the age bracket of 18 and 30, a demographic that responded optimistically to change, innovation and clever advertising.

The Daily Telegraph reports, Australians also seem to favour pricey taste keeping in mind the 11.3 percent growth in the demand for boutique beer in last year.
