Macca never leaves home without his harmonica

Sir Paul McCathney'sWashington, January 15 : Sir Paul Mccartney has revealed that he never steps out of the house unless he has pocketed his tiny harmonica.

Narrating a particular incident, the former Beatle said that the little instrument helped him entertain people even on the go.

"It''s a very little harmonica. I think it came out of a Christmas cracker," Contactmusic quoted him as revealing on the U. S. TV talk show The View.

Madonna training for horse riding festival

MadonnaWashington, January 15 : Madonna has decided to chase her dressage dreams, and is training to become a top horse rider at the FTI Equestrian Festival at Wellington, Florida.

The `Material Girl' hitmaker, who previously suffered three cracked ribs, a fractured collarbone and broken hand after a horse threw her in 2005, flew in esteemed British trainer Daisy Trayford to the U. S.

Trayford described the Queen of Pop as a "dream pupil", insisting that the singer displayed her determination and commitment on the pastures.

Princess DianaLondon, Jan 15 : Autographs of celebrities like Sir Paul McCartney and Princess Diana are safer assets than stocks or savings.

Ten years ago, the former Beatle's signature was worth 125 pounds but now fetches more than 1,500 pounds.

According to the GB Rarities Index, others soaring in value include Princess Diana's (up more than 600 per cent from 1,200 pounds to
8,500 pounds) and George Harrison's (175 pounds to 2,250 pounds),

GB Rarities Index also shows that stamp collections rose in value by nearly 40 per cent in 2007-2008.

Mumbai attacks, a test of India''s patience, says Army chief

Addressing a function at the Army Day parade here, General Kapoor described terrorism as the biggest challenge before the country.

"Terrorism is the only biggest challenge before us and the menace has engulfed the entire world. But India has been grappling with it for long. The recent Mumbai attacks were a test of India''s patience," said General Kapoor.

Duffy to be the face of multi-million Diet Coke campaign

Diet CokeWashington, Jan 15 : Pop star Duffy will soon be appearing in a multi-million pound advertising campaign for slim-line beverage Diet coke.

The `Mercy' hitmaker has signed a lucrative deal with the drinks giant to promote the beverage across Europe.

Duffy emphasized that she suits the advert, as she is addicted to the drink.

"(I drink) so much of the stuff, they were either going to give me shares in the company or put me in the advert," Contactmusic quoted Duffy, as saying.

Coca-Cola marketing director Cathryn Sleight too agrees that they have made the right decision by roping in Duffy.
