Gaddafi calls on Libyans to wage campaign of disobedience against rebel leaders in new tapeTripoli, Oct 7 : Fallen Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi has reportedly called on the citizens of his country to take to the streets and wage a campaign of civil disobedience against the new leaders.

Speaking for the first time in just over two weeks, Gaddafi said the National Transitional Council has no legitimacy because it was not nominated or appointed by the Libyan people, the Daily Mail reports.

He called on his countrymen to ''go out in new million-man marches in all cities and villages and oases.''

“Be courageous, rise up, go out in the streets. Raise the green flag in the skies ... the conditions in Libya are unbearable,” he said.

Gaddafi had earlier made several speeches on Syrian-based Arrai television to address supporters, who are still waging fierce resistance in his besieged hometown of Sirte, the town of Bani Walid southeast of Tripoli and pockets in the south.

The whereabouts of Gaddafi and two of his sons are not known. (ANI)
