The French company has been quite popular in the global cycling industry for the past few years. During the recent course of its journey, it offered a range of personal mobility solutions under brands like Rockrider, Triban, and B’Twin. While Rockrider is known for its mountain bikes, Triban offers premium road & commuter bikes, and B’Twin offers practical all-around bikes.
The new LD 920 E bike is actually an updated model under the umbrella of the B’Twin brand. The LD 920 E is already quite popular among bike users. This long-distance tourer was originally introduced around a year back in 2022. This time around, the French manufacturer has updated this bike with a high-tech automatic gearbox, which promises even more convenient riding.
The updated e-bike’s new drivetrain was developed by the French company in partnership with a Belgium-based start-up, called the E2 Drives. It features a dual motor system that efficiently blends 250 watts of electric pedal (e-pedal) assistance with seamless as well as stepless gear shifting. Two electric motors and more than half a dozen sensors of the compact electric drivetrain system enables the e-bike to adapt to the rider’s preferences to make sure that the rider gets a smooth experience. According to the manufacturer’s claims, the sensors are capable of processing performance data as many as 20,000 times per second, which is really impressive.
For power, the electric motor (e-motor) of the updated e-bike relies on a 702-Watt-hour (Wh) battery, which comes positioned in the down tube of the frame. It is capable of delivering a range of up to 150 km (94 miles) between two charges.
The list of other notable features of the new B’Twin LD 920 E e-bike also includes a suite of handy tech specs like the integrated GPS tracker, which is very useful in case of a theft, while the touchscreen on the handle offers real-time information about the status of riding.
