Four security patches to be released by Microsoft

Four security patches to be released by MicrosoftFour security updates, including two that would critically affecting Windows, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Exchange Server would be released by Microsoft on Tuesday. The company announced this on Thursday.

According to the company, "The critical updates affect Windows Internet Explorer 7, Windows XP Professional Edition, Windows Vista, Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server, Exchange Server 2003 and Exchange Server 2007."

Important affect by two other updates were rated SQL Server 2000, SQL Server 2005 and Office. An attacker can easily and remotely execute code on an unpatched system via the vulnerabilities.

On Patch Tuesday, Microsoft will release the security updates, the second Tuesday of the month. Advance notification for customers is provided by the company in order to prepare them as to the software affected but keeps the details vague to prevent exploits from being developed.
