Four Jindal companies gave same fake address in applications for coal blocksCongress MP & industrialist Naveen Jindal's four companies gave same fake address when they applied for coal blocks between 2006 and 2009, a probe by the CBI revealed.

The investigating agency found that four Jindal companies gave "28, Najafgarh Road, New Delhi" as their address, which doesn't exist. Of the four, two companies viz. Nalwa Steel and Gagan Sponge were awarded coal blocks.

The other two Jindal companies which had applied for coal blocks giving the same fake address & contact details were Mineral Management Services and Opelina Finance & Investment Ltd.

The Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL) and Jindal Power Ltd (JPL) had also applied for coal blocks. The screening committee had allotted coal blocks to JSPL. The committee allocated five coal blocks to JSPL - Gare Palma IV in Chattishgarh, Jitpur in Jharkhand, Ramchandi in Odisha, Urtan North in Madhya Pradesh and Amarkonda Murgadangal in Jharkhand,.

The address anomalies were discovered while the investigating agency was scrutinising applications submitted by Jindal-owned companies. People familiar with the developments said new FIRs would be filed soon.
