Facebook gets friendly hand from CNN for inauguration With the aim to get an application that will let the users to view President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration on 20th January while interacting with other members, CNN. com is partnering with social networking site Facebook.

This integration will allow the users of Facebook to click onto a special CNN. com Live page to see the inauguration and other activities and they will also be able to stay on the page and still be linked to Facebook.

During a session at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, CNN made the announcement regarding its partnership with Facebook.

Large amount of activity online is being expected by CNN and other sites for 20th January, as the audience on work will tune in online for latest updates during the day. It could prove to be the highest, single video event in web history and so, CNN. com is ready by building capacity beyond previous big events.

“The idea came up on Election Night, when so many Facebook users went back to their computers and posted updates that expressed either happiness or displeasure with the results,” said CNN.
