An Event Manager Murdered

In a heart rendering incident, an event manager was stabbed to death on Wednesday evening. Rajesh Soni Lakhwani, a 30 year old was stabbed 19 times in Mulund. He was found by his his mother and brother while he was still alive but was declared as bought dead when the duo got him to Mulund General Hospital.

Rajesh resided at Shastri Nagar in Mulund Colony. On Wednesday evening he went out of his house and about an hour later two men arrived at his place informing his mother that her son has been attacked. The inconsolable mother of the deceased said that “The men told me that they saw Rajesh lying in a pool of blood and said that he had been attacked. However, I expected him to be grievously injured, but I can scarcely believe that he is dead.”

While the widowed mother and her younger son hurried to the spot and rushed Rajesh to hospital they were unsuccessful in reviving his life as he breathed his last. The Mulund police was informed and a case of murder was registered.  

On the tragic incident Chandrakant Thakur, Police Inspector (Crime) said that “The incident occurred near the pipeline that runs through Dongarpada in Mulund Colony. Lakhwani used to work in a call centre but had left the job three years back and had begun organising local events. We are investigating whether he had any enemies and have already interrogated some suspects. However, we are yet to find any leads about the motive for the murder or the culprit.”

While likelihood of any enemies was being investigated,the mother denied anything of the sort. But she did recall that “Four days ago Rajesh had come back saying that a friend named ‘Akshay’ had threatened to kill him when he asked him to repay a loan. But we did not take it seriously.” However, she did not know as to who ‘Akshay’ was and how was he known to her son.
