Elaine Wynn comments on suggestion from ISS
Today, Elaine Wynn, co-founder, Board member and third-largest stockholder of Wynn Resorts, Limited WYNN, commented on the suggestion from Institutional Shareholder Service (ISS), which is a leading independent proxy advisory service.
The recommendation was that Wynn stockholders hold back their vote for nominees of management for the Wynn Resorts Board of Directors ('the Board') at the forthcoming 2015 Annual Meeting. In response, Elaine Wynn gave the statement that she thinks that the stockholders of Wynn Resorts should get better than the choices given by the Company this proxy season.
She added that in order to achieve meaningful value creation for her fellow stockholders, the only solution is to vote the GOLD card FOR her reelection at the approaching Annual Meeting.
According to her, "The ISS report raises a number of important concerns about the performance of the Board. I firmly believe my judgment, considerable experience, important diversity and willingness to challenge the status quo makes me the best positioned candidate to guard and grow stockholders' interest". She added that she is also able to identify more diverse candidates with independent voices.
Wynn said that as the third largest stockholder, her interests support her fellow stockholders, and it gives her a unique viewpoint to protect and increase the value of their collective investment in the future.
She added that the Company keeps on publicizing comments intended to not clearly express the truth and they did the same in their statement on the ISS recommendation. Wynn also added that she hopes that other stockholders identify her value and vote FOR her reelection by making use of the GOLD proxy card TODAY.
