EIH to spend Rs 650 crore on Bangalore and Goa properties
Hotel chain operator EIH Ltd would invest around Rs 650 crore in its two properties in Bangalore and Goa, under its expansion plan. The company plans to spend Rs 500 crore for the hotel in 8 acres of land in Bangalore and the rest in the Goa project, which would have a hotel and villas in 50 acres of land. According to the company, the investment would have a mix of debt-equity ratio of about 2:1. EIH, the flagship company of Oberoi group, operates in India, Egypt, Mauritius, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia with 30 properties under the brands 'Oberoi Hotels & Resorts' and 'Trident'. The new additions would take the total number of hotels operated by the chain to 40 during the next three and half years.
