`Dunkyard,' an inter college basketball tournament organised by the Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship Development Pune (IMED) will be held in their campus from March 5.

This inaugural championship has evoked good response as thirty teams line up for this four-day sporting extravaganza. Eighteen men and twelve women teams are in the fray. Among the prominent teams who will assemble at IMED's basketball court Erandwane Campus are, Bharati Vidyapeeth's IMED, College of Engineering, Symbiosis, BMCC, PICT, SIT College of Engg., INDIRA Management, MITCOE, MOZE, FC in the men's section while ILS Law College, VIT, Cummins, Bharati Vidyapeeth, College of Engg., Symbiosis are the women top contenders.

This event is being supported by Bharati Vidyapeeth fraternity namely Patangrao Kadam (Chancellor- Bharati Vidyapeeth University), Dr.Prof.Shivajirao Kadam (Vice Chancellor Bharati Vidyapeeth University), Vishwajeet Kadam (Secretary- Bharati Vidyapeeth) and Himalyan (Director of Sports- Bharati Vidyapeeth) and Nitin Nayak (Director-IMED).
