Credit cruch hit Lily Allen reckons she is broke
London, March 6 : Pop babe Lily Allen might have sold millions of albums around the world, but that just does not mean that she has not been hit by the ongoing credit crunch.
The singer, who loves to splurge on Chanel and designer YSL heels, reckons that she is left with no money.
Her financial worries even forced her to flog her 35,000-pound BMW 320 convertible to make ends meet.
"I've been hit big time by the credit crunch. Actually, I just had to sell my car because I'm so broke," the Mirror quoted her as saying.
"I bought a car last year and that was probably my biggest extravagance. Clothes too, I'm always buying clothes," she added.
Lily has even said that she will be changing her lifestyle for the time because she does not want to remain broke for long.
"I'm completely skint. I can't even spend on credit cards. I mean, I won't be, as I'm waiting until I get the royalties from the album and all the radio plays but that takes about a year," she said.
"The banks will usually front your money in that kind of situation but they are not lending at the moment so it's a tricky time," she added.
Despite her second album It's Not Me It's You being a huge hit, Lily says that the music industry might not remain her top priority for much longer.
"Isn't the point of life to find a partner? That's the idea, isn't it? I don't know if I want to get married. I know I want to be falling in love, that's the good s***," she said.
She has even decided on what she would do in case her music career ever fails.
"I'm really enjoying my life but if it lasts, it lasts, and if it doesn't I'll find something else. There's always a cake shop. I really like baking,'' she said. (ANI)
