Cologna becomes the youngest-ever World Cup winner in 25 years
Falun, Sweden - Switzerland's Dario Cologna on Sunday became the youngest-ever World Cup winner in 25 years after winning a 15 kilometre handicap race in Sweden's Falun.
By winning the season-finale the 23-year-old, who also won the Tour de Ski, secured the overall World Cup title. He won his first podium finish in December last year.
Cologna won in a time of 35 minutes 57.2 seconds, beating Frenchman Vincent Vittoz into second place by 41.3 seconds. Russian Alexander Legkov from Russia finished third a further 24.1 seconds behind.
A 10-km handicap race for women will be held later Sunday. dpa
