Los Angeles  - George Clooney will team up with up-and-coming actress Anna Kendrick in his new romantic comedy Up In The Air, Variety reported Monday.

Clooney will star in the feature as a human resource professional who ignores the developing chaos in his life as he focuses on amassing his millionth frequent-flyer mile. Kendrick will play a businesswoman who keeps running into him in airports and hotels with romantic results.

The movie will be directed by Jason Reitman, whose previous work, Juno, was one of the most surprising hits of last year. (dpa)
