Centre to set up task force to sort out problems of the Indian pharmaceutical companies
Union Health Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad has informed that the central government is planning to set up a task force which can look out issues in the pharmaceutical industry of the country. There has been a huge growth in the pharmaceutical industry of India in recent past.
Some of the Indian companies have also managed to acquire a commanding position in the global market place as well. The rising trend in this sector has made the government to set up a special authority.
The task force will find out problems of the domestic pharmaceuticals industry and will inform the government. The Union Health minister, Mr. Azad has also said that the task force will also look after inter-ministerial and Centre-State issues of the health sector of the country. He has also added that the government has decided to extend its support for the pharmaceutical sector and he has asked all major pharmaceutical companies to co-operate in this venture. Now the government will also have a control over the drug price as well.
