Centre to offer lan acquisition cost for hospital, says AzadIndia's Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has said that the union government is willing to offer the funds for the land that will be acquired for the hospital that will have standards like AIMS.

He also said that the state government is not stepping ahead to take the opportunity even after the union government has extended a helping hand to the state. He said that the union government is willing to pay upto Rs 15 crore for the project at  Raigunj in the state.

"The Centre is ready to pay up to Rs 15 crore for the project in Raigunj but the state government doesn't want it there. It is adamant on its land policies without considering the number of people who would benefit if a hospital comes up there," Azad said.

Azad criticised the state government the launch of The Banerji Protocols: A New Method of Treatment with Homoeopathic Medicines. He noted that there are AIIMS-like hospitals in six states including, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Rajasthan and Orissa. The government wants the hospital to be set up at Rai Bareli.
