Cancer pills can shrink tumor pills to half its chances
Scientists have stated that daily dosage of two pills a day can put a hold on skin cancer even in the most severe stages of cancer.
The scientists claim that the pills are tracked by shrinking tumors, even in advanced conditions of the disease.
The drug adds by disabling the protein, and then curbs on the spread of cancer-and also helps reverse its growth - although it does not guarantee the complete phase out of tumor altogether.
Boffins at GlaxoSmithKline have stated that the consumption of the two types of pills can lower the number of cancerous cells by up to 50 per cent. At the same time it was stated that if both the pills were consumed at the same time can help effectively cure the disease.
It was Dr Peter Lebowitz, vice president of clinical development at GSK who stated: "These are very compelling results. Research has been very disappointing over the last few decades but it seems we are finally making progress. What we have seen is impressive activity in a very clear patient population," as reported by the Daily Mall.
It was finally concluded that more than half of patients who took the first drug, called Braf 436, saw their tumors reduced by at least 20 per cent and in case of rest of the patients who took a second pill, Mek 183 the tumor size was reduced in size by 50 per cent.
However the result stated that if the pills are taken together it will lead to curbing on reduction of cancer.
