Calamity Dane: Prince wet then walloped on Sydney Harbour
Sydney - Denmark's Prince Frederik burnished his reputation for being accident-prone Thursday when he was hit on the head by a swinging boom while sailing on Sydney Harbour.
A day earlier, his boat capsized twice while training for his over-35 event in the World Masters Games.
The prince and his partner in the Tasar class sought medical attention at a nearby boat before sailing on.
Frederik attended the Sydney Olympics in 2000, during which he met Australian Mary Donaldson, who is now his wife. They were introduced at the Slip Inn, a singles bar not far from where he is competing in the seventh World Masters Games. (dpa)
