BT Anticipates $250 Mn Income From Indian Market By 2009
New Delhi: Global telecom networking major, BT is anticipating revenue of $250 mn from its Indian operation by next two years (2009).
Arun Seth, BT India Chairman and Managing Director, said, “Our greatest challenge in India is to ensure that our services and operations exceed customers' satisfaction. Our plans for India are well on track and we are poised to reach the $250 million target revenue from India by 2009.”
The company declared its development for Indian enterprise communication market by growing the number of connecting points (nodes) for its network substructure -- multi protocol level switching that is the basis for high-class video and voice services over the Internet.
With this, the company possesses 14 nodes in India that is highest by any worldwide service provider, Mr. Seth said.
New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Pune will have several nodes.
BT, that has 300 clients in the country, will concentrate on Indian MNCs, banking and financial division, broadcasting and media sphere to develop its business in the country.
